# Rhazes benefits calculator

Estimate time freed up, the value of that time, and optional costs for an individual doctor, clinic, hospital or enterprise.

## Your inputs

- Licensed clinicians and encounters per clinician per day.
- Clinical days per week and working weeks per year.
- Admin minutes per encounter today and with Rhazes, including review and editing.
- Percentage of encounters using Rhazes and value per clinician hour.
- Optional monthly licence cost, other recurring monthly costs, and one-off setup and training costs. Enter zero where no cost applies.
- Share of freed time used for extra appointments and minutes per extra appointment.

Currency options: USD, GBP, EUR, AED, SAR, INR and AUD. Changing currency relabels your amounts; it does not convert them.

## Illustrative examples

Doctor: 1 clinician, 20 encounters/day, 5 clinical days/week. Clinic: 10 clinicians with the same working pattern. Hospital: 100 clinicians, 16 encounters/day, 4 clinical days/week. Enterprise: 500 clinicians with the same hospital working pattern.

All examples start with 46 working weeks, 8 admin minutes today, 4 with Rhazes including review, 80% uptake and a value of 75 per hour in the selected currency. These are editable planning examples, not measured Rhazes outcomes or benchmarks. Costs are blank until entered. Appointment capacity initially uses 25% of freed time for 20-minute appointments.

## Calculations

- Annual encounters = clinicians × encounters/day × clinical days/week × working weeks/year.
- Annual hours freed = annual encounters × uptake/100 × (minutes today − minutes with Rhazes) / 60.
- Annual time value = hours freed × hourly clinician cost.
- Equivalent 8-hour days = hours freed / 8.
- First-year costs = 12 × (all licensed clinicians × monthly licence cost + other monthly costs) + setup.
- First-year value after costs = annual time value − first-year costs.
- Return on cost = first-year value after costs / first-year costs × 100. Undefined when costs are zero.
- Setup recovery in months = setup / (annual time value / 12 − recurring monthly costs). Setup is not recovered when monthly value does not exceed recurring costs; no recovery period is needed when setup cost is zero.
- Potential extra appointments = positive freed hours × 60 × allocation/100 / appointment minutes, rounded down.

If the assisted workflow takes longer, negative savings show extra time required. Calculations assume steady uptake and activity from day one. Currency amounts are displayed rounded; calculation and download values keep their precision.

## What the estimate means

Time value is capacity you could use differently, not automatically a reduction in payroll or cash spending. Extra appointments use the same freed time and must not be added to time value as another benefit. Actual appointment capacity depends on staffing, demand and scheduling.

These are simple estimates with no discounting, tax calculation or revenue forecast. Clinical quality, coding improvements, staff wellbeing and patient outcomes need separate evidence and are not monetised here.

For mixed specialties, calculate each workflow separately and combine results without counting encounters, time or platform fees twice. Include everyone licensed regardless of uptake. Use measured pilot timings and a confirmed quote.
