Workflows

# Build it once. Run it anywhere.

A workflow is a recipe you write once: find information, think it through, deliver the result.

Fictional example workflow, “Consultation follow-up”:

1. **Start.** Your message and today’s date.
2. **Find information.** The patient’s record, your spaces.
3. **Think or write.** Draft the follow-up letter.
4. **Check with me.** Pause for your review.
5. **Finish.** Shows you the answer: a follow-up letter, ready for your review.

## Each step does one thing.

Find, think, check, deliver. Arrows carry what a step produced into the next one.

- **Start.** Already in every workflow. There can only be one. It passes your message and today’s date to the next step.
- **Find information.** Read your files, the patient’s record, your own recent sessions, your spaces, the clinical guidelines or the web.
- **Think or write.** Give Rhazes an instruction. Summarise, draft, or pull out key details.
- **Calculate.** Work out a number from a formula. A BMI, a clearance, a score. Exactly, every time.
- **Choose a path.** Do something different depending on what was found.
- **Check with me.** Pause and ask you before it carries on.
- **Finish.** Shows you the answer.

## Run it when you need it.

Turn a workflow on to run it now or schedule it. Or start one from any chat: press + and choose Workflows, or tap Automate on the home screen. Pin the workflows you use every day and look back at every run.

## Borrow a recipe from a colleague.

Install a workflow from the community, then make it your own. Filter community workflows by location, speciality and grade.

## Questions from clinicians.

### Do I need to know how to code?

No. Each step is one instruction in plain words. Join the steps up on the canvas and the arrows carry each result to the next step.

### Where can a workflow find information?

Your files, the patient's record, your own recent sessions, your spaces, clinical guidelines or the web.

### Can I use a colleague's workflow?

Yes. Install one from the community on the Discover tab, and pin the ones you use most.

### Can we connect another clinical tool?

Yes, with Enterprise. Tell us which tool, and we’ll look at the connection it needs.

## Where will you go next?

- [Templates](https://www.rhazes.ai/templates/): Give every output the right shape. Define the structure of the notes and letters you create in Rhazes.
- [Local guidelines & Spaces](https://www.rhazes.ai/spaces/): Start with your team’s knowledge. Use your local guidelines and documents as sources in a workflow.
- [AI medical scribe](https://www.rhazes.ai/scribe/): Capture what was said. Turn a consultation or dictated note into draft clinical documentation.
