Behind the estimate
Clear inputs.
Calculations you can check.
This is a planning tool. Replace the examples with your own workload, measured time savings and a confirmed quote.
How is time freed up calculated?
Annual encounters = clinicians × encounters per day × days per week × working weeks. We multiply this by the share using Rhazes and by the minutes saved per encounter, then divide by 60.
Minutes saved = time today minus time with Rhazes, including review. If Rhazes takes longer, the result shows extra time required rather than hiding it.
What does the money figure mean?
Time value = hours freed × your hourly clinician cost. First-year costs = 12 × (all clinician licences + other monthly costs) + setup. Value after costs = time value minus first-year costs. Return on cost = value after costs ÷ first-year costs × 100.
Setup payback = setup cost ÷ (annual time value ÷ 12 minus recurring monthly costs). If the monthly value does not exceed recurring costs, setup is not recovered. This is a simple estimate with no discounting, tax calculation or revenue forecast.
Are the examples evidence of Rhazes performance?
No. Each setting changes the team size and example workload. The 8-minute baseline, 4-minute assisted workflow, 80% uptake and 75 per hour are editable planning examples, not benchmarks or promised outcomes. Measure a representative pilot, including time spent checking and editing.
How should a hospital or enterprise use this?
Start with one team or workflow. For different specialties, calculate each separately and combine the downloaded figures without counting the same encounters, time or platform fees twice. Include every licensed clinician, even when uptake is low, and use the adoption percentage for the share of encounters using Rhazes.
The calculator does not put a price on clinical quality, coding improvements, staff wellbeing or patient outcomes. Those need separate evidence. For deployment costs and rollout planning, speak to the Rhazes team.
